weekend recap | lil-big brother grows up

You know when you are having a great time & time seems to fly? Well that happened this weekend, & to be honest it happens EVERY weekend. I hate when all of a sudden Sunday evening is here & Nick has to leave, I kinda get grouchy, probably not the best thing to do, but sometimes I just have no control. lol But I am working on it! :] But the last five days were so much fun: going on double dates, getting my Mexican fix, relaxing & watching the US Open with my other half & lets not forget my little brothers graduation/graduation party. It is so hard to believe that my little pion, well he isn't exactly small, is done with high school :: seriously I am getting old! ha Aaron is one of the smartest, cutest, kindest, generous, funniest, brothers & I am beyond proud of him. Ok time for me to brag just a wee big: He graduated High School with a 4.2 GPA & got early acceptance into the Virginia Tech Engineering program. He is an amazing Christian & Godly young man & I look up to him in so many ways. He teaches me things about myself all the time. Not sure how he does it but he knows how to let things roll off his shoulders & smile. He doesn't let the littlest of things get him down. The last couple months he has already matured so much. & I am so am so excited to watch him grow into an amazing man, student, & eventually uncle, husband & father. I love this brother of mine so much. ok, bragging rights taken: ha.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather in VA was absolutely gorgeous & the company was even better. Tell me what yall did?

turkey day weekend -- instagram style.

People it is officially CHRISTMAS TIME! :] -- that means it is OK {officially} to start decorating the Christmas Tree, & putting presents underneath the tree, & listening to Christmas music non-stop, not saying I haven't been doing that already -- but now I can't be judged :] But anywho I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. Mine was filled with needed family time, yummy turkey day food & leftovers {who doesn't EVER have leftovers, the best part sometimes}, naps + football, a little black Friday shopping, an oyster roast, & my very first photography sesh {pictures to come}. But as for today I am linking up with A Little {Dash} of Ash for the usual instagram link-up to share a few of my photos with ya.

just some of the TURKEY day yumminess :]

it didn't take long for me to curl up on the couch due to my turkey coma.

Nick & I didn't get to spend this Thanksgiving together -- but we did manage to send he other photos throughout the weekend to let each other know what we were missing out on. Hence -- this one I missed out on :/ -- the pups snuggling on the couch. & we have NO clue how the pillow got between them.

& this is one of the millions of pictures that I took of my grandfathers land -- he lives on the water in South Carolina! It is an absolutely beautiful place & I love spending time there.

Happy Turkey Day.

Can you believe that it is Thanksgiving already?! I mean it felt like just yesterday it was Labor Day Weekend! Today is one of my favorite days of the year -- & I have SO many things to be thankful for. I am so thankful to be able to celebrate this day in South Carolina with my family! It will be filled with lots of food, naps, football {while falling asleep during the middle. haha}, crazy family convos, tasty drinks, & of course LEFTOVERS {one of the only times I eat leftovers!} -- the only thing missing is my boyfriend :/

I hope every single one of you are enjoying this day with family & friends.
eating -- relaxing -- & watching football.
