Since DC got hit with a tiny snow storm a few days ago, I have yet to leave the house or my pjs for that matter. Yesterday, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed & needed to get out of the house. So I decided to throw on my new comfy oversized striped sweater from Shop RiffRaff, Aeropostale boyfriend jeans, these adorable nude Emmy flats from Sole Society (which also come in black + navy!) & the Sole Society Sia bag to run some errands in the city. This Sia bag arrived while I was out of town & man is it amazing. It can hold just about everything & the bottom has a secret compartment, meant to hold a pair of shoes (my kinda bag!). Since I know you are oogling over this amazing bag, I wanted to let you in on a little secret! I have teamed up with Sole Society to giveaway your choice of Handbag, Choice & Accessory! That's right - you get to pick 3 Sole Society items of your choice!

January is the month most of us vow to start saving money & I a most def one of them. This month I decided to purge things in my closet that I no longer want in order to learn to appreciate the clothes that I do have. During this closet clean out, I found a long-lost pair of faux leather pants that I scored last year from Target for a whopping $20. I am so mad at myself for just now finding them among all my crap, but I am glad that I did.

Last week, I decided to wear my faux leather leggings out while running errands around town. They were super comfy & most importantly stylish. Pairing them with a simple white tee, moto boots & some sparkle made it a simple + chic outfit. Later that night, N wanted to grab a bite to eat & I really didn't want to take off these faux leather pants, because they were so cozy. A quick decision to throw on a striped chiffon blouse, black suede heels & the silver Saddle Ring turned the outfit from casual to sexy. (& N didn't seem to mind the leather!) The Saddle Ring is absolutely beautiful with a re-sizable back. They even sell it in gold! Perfect for any outfit!

I can vouch that these are one of my new favorites in my closet & I plan on wearing them plenty throughout the rest of the winter. & to be on the safe side, I have already started looking for another pair, just in case I wear these babies out. These are some of my current favorites:

Did you know Christmas is in 9 days? That seems absolutely crazy to me. It feels just like yesterday that it was the beginning of Fall. ATM Holiday parties seem to be never ending for me + N (& they get to be rather expensive, especially if you feel the need to have a different outfit at each one). I tend to always grab the same ol' things to wear, so I decided to go a little bit out of my comfort zone & rock a gold glitter skirt, Kate Spade polka dot tights, black Dor'say heels, a cute blazer, & of course some sparkle! This outfit can easily be thrown together since most of us all have a cute black blouse, a black blazer + a black heel in our closet. To add the pop of gold + glitter to complete this Holiday look, was all under $60 (skirt $34 + Kate Spade polka dot tights $25). To get good wear out of the gold skirt at other Holiday parties you can add a red or green blouse & a plain black tight. Or you can pair it with an ugly Christmas sweater & you are set for your next Holiday party! If you are looking for more affordable Holiday Party ideas head over to one of the 7 bloggers listed below for more outfit inspiration! Enjoy your Monday! xo
