First off, I hope you all had a lovely Easter. I spent the early half of the day down in Yorktown, VA visiting my parents, followed by a delish dinner at my boyfriends parents house. My dad made yummy pancakes ... that I def. soaked in maple syrup & a few mimosas were gulped down. We weren't able to make it to service this am, so we watched the Easter sermon by Rick Warren on TV & it was a wonderful message. We are heading back to DC this am & we have the Nats game tonight. Hoping the weather warms up a bit, because yesterday was quite freezing. How was yall's Easter weekend? I wanna hear all about it!
This month's Bloggers Who Budget theme is all about Prints & Patterns. My go-to patterns are polka dots, stripes & of course leopard. & on any given day you can see me styling one or even two of these patterns at a time. I am also loving all things floral, but don't seem to have too many of these pieces in my closet - which means I need to invest in a piece or two!
When browsing my closet, I remembered that I purchased this cute polka dot blouse from Madewell a few weeks back & have yet to wear it. Also, this Shop RiffRaff black textured skirt had yet to be worn, so that meant only one thing -- they needed to be styled together. Plus, the polka dot blouse fit the theme perfectly! The polka dot blouse is super versatile & can be worn dressed up like I did with this black skirt & Sole Society wedge sandals or you can dress it down with a pair of jeans & flat sandals. These wedges are seriously my new favorite & I can't believe I haven't worn them sooner. But then, actually I can because the weather in DC hasn't been that Spring friendly. But once weather is more consistent, I will certainly be rocking these regularly.
