Another month gone, mean's it's time for my monthly beauty favorites. October's beauty bag was filled with dark vampy lips, dark nails, coppery eyes & a new Fall scent that I can't stop wearing. Details below:
Hourglass Blush 'Mood Exposure'* • Fall is all about warm tones but I also can't live without my cool tones. I love that this blush is a mixture of both warm + cool. The hybrid blush is fused with a mauvey plum + mood light, which helps brighten the complexion. Hourglass blushes are hands down some of my favorite blushes that I own - they offer the perfect amount of sheen and color all mixed into one little compact & the formula is super creamy.
Becca Cosmetics Ombre Rouge Eye Palette • You know when you spot something & just know you have to have it? Well this I had been eyeing this palette for weeks on Sephora's website & finally grabbed it. I was drawn to the warm buttery matte shades that range from soft nudes + oranges to warm autumny browns + a gorgeous burgundy. I am super impressed with the pigmentation & how easily they blend individually or combined. This is the palette that everyone needs for Fall.
MAC 'DIVA' + MAC 'REBEL' Lipsticks • As soon as the warm temps started to fade I was ready to start wearing my dark vampy lipsticks. Two that I picked up last year but completely forgot I had until I was doing a little bit of cleaning are MAC Diva, a matte oxblood red & MAC Rebel, a creamy plum shade. I have been carrying both of these shades in my purse & accidentally put Rebel overtop of DIVA and ended up loving the final outcome, so I have mixing these two vampy hues regularly to create a mixture of the two.
Hourglass Veil Fluid Liquid Foundation* • This lightweight oil-free makeup offers sheer to mid coverage without drying out your skin. I love the natural radiant finish, which makes it look like I am not even wearing foundation. Another plus, is that there is sunscreen mixed it, which is really important since I am in the sun daily while walking to work. The only downfall it that I found it hard to find the right shade for my skintone. Even though they offer 11 shades, some of the shades are a little too yellow, while others a little too pink. I have been mixing Porcelain + Ivory, which is the perfect mix at the moment, but have also used Ivory alone as well.
Jo Malone Fragrance 'Mimosa & Cardamom' • Jo Malone fragrances are my daily go-to, like Wood Sage + Sea Salt, which it one of my absolute favorites. Mimosa & Cardamom is filled with warm wintery scent quickly & has quickly become a new favorite when it arrived at my doorstep. It is filled with spicy undertones and sweet rose, which pair very nicely together. This fragrance is not for everyone & I find that you only need a tiny spritz at a time.
CND VinyLux Weekly Polish in #105 Black Pool • I have heard amazing things about the CND VinyLux Weekly Polish Collection & finally grabbed a few shades when I was home back in September. This deep black hue has been worn on repeat all October & I don't plan on swaying anytime soon. The brush is extra wide, which makes it easy to apply. Also, I am really impressed with the lasting power on my fingernails, since I wash my hands repeatedly throughout the day at work. I purchased the CND VinyLux top cat & feel like it works much better then other brands I have.
Sigma Beauty DuoFibre Blush Brush 'F15'* • This duofibre blush brush gives my cheeks a flush of color that is super natural. It is great for highlighting, especially if you want to add a touch of color or luminosity to your cheekbones or nose.
Sigma Beauty Tapered Blending Brush 'E35'* • This blending brush has been heavily used with the Becca Ombre Rouge Palette to make dark eyes feel a little softer. It blends the colors nicely & creates a gorgeous finish. A go-to brush that I grab a regular basis.
