Happy 1st day of June! This weekend was such a relaxing weekend, even though I had to work on Sunday. Saturday I made it to the gym & spent a majority of the day hanging out with Faith shopping, chatting & sunning on the terrace. It was nice to be able to spend quality time with her and take a break from my busy life. Sunday I woke up bright & early so that I could stop by my local farmer's market before heading to work for the day. I picked up some gorgeous peonies, a new succulent, fresh strawberries & a new plant for the front porch. It was such a calm start to my morning which def. helped my crazy busy day at work.
On a different note, since May has officially come to an end it is time to share my May Beauty Favorites with ya'll. This month seems to be on trend with all things coral colored and simple products that make it easy to get up & go in the morning. Check out my favorites below & share in the comments what you have been loving this May!
NARS blush 'Torrid' : Every single one of NARS blushes are on my wish list. One) the packaging is amazing & two) the products offer such great color + coverage. I picked up the color 'Torrid' last week & have been wearing it on repeat. It is a warm coral color with subtle shimmer that is perfect for a summer glow.
Marc Jacobs Enamored High Shine Lipgloss 'Forbidden Fruit' : This past weekend Faith & I decided to head into Georgetown to grab some PinkBerry & we both know that if we walk by a Sephora & don't go in ... you might as well call us crazy! ha! We both had to pick up a couple things that we needed & of course Faith showed me the new Marc Jacobs lipglosee collection & that was it ... I had to leave with one. This lipgloss is everything a lipgloss lover would want an more -- high shine without the stickiness that we all despise. There are 18 different colors to choose from & it was extremely hard to pick just one. Trust me!
Clinique 'Melon Pop' Lipstick : I have been looking for this color for what seems like FOREVER. I finally found it & can't stop wearing it. It is the perfect shade of coral & super moisturizing. Currently, I love pairing this peachy-nude lipstick with the Marc Jacobs High Shine lipgloss overtop.
Tom Ford 'Cream & Powder Eyeshadow'* : This is by far one of my favorite Tom Ford products to date (besides the Cream Cheek Color). This cream + shadow duo offers great color pigmentation & can be worn with the cream alone or layered with a subtle shimmer by it self. You don't need much of the cream because a little goes a long way. I dab a bit onto my ring finger & blend flawlessly on my eyelid. The color is such a versatile color & has been worn on repeat all month long.
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum* : Finding a good face serum can be challenging and what I love most about this anti-aging serum is that it is super light weight but also helps fight UV damage. I was one of those immature girls that thought it was smart to go to the tanning bed & now my skin hates me for it. I have been using this serum for the last several weeks & have seen a significant improvement in my sun spots. They are less visible & my skin is firmer.
Maybelline Chaotic Lash Mascara : I have always been a fan of Maybelline mascara especially when I didn't spend money on 'high-end beauty products.' This new mascara has quickly become a daily favorite of mine. It offers great light weight volume with a little but of thicker eyelashes if you want. You do have the ability to create the last you want ... but to get the 'chaotic look' you have to apply multiple layers of mascara. Also, this mascara is easy to remove with water or oil based eye makeup remover.
Loreal Brow Serum 'Transparent': Sometimes I just don't have the time to fill in my eyebrows & with my much needed extra beauty rest, this is typically the step that I leave out most mornings. Lazy mornings call for this brow serum. It is a super quick + easy application & sometimes all you need is a little somethin' to tame those unruly brows without the extra effort.
Chanel CC Cream : Lightweight. Luminous. Smells Amazing. Obsessed. Honestly, it is that simple. During the summer months my makeup tends to sweat off of my face by the end of the day & this product does the complete opposite. This product offers great light weight coverage, a high SPF of 50 & flawless application. Certainly a new favorite of mine for an easy morning routine.
ColorScience EvenUp* : With the summer sun already heating up & the fact that I walk to work on a daily basis I have to more proactive with protecting my skin. I have been adding this pigmented moisturizer as the base to my daily beauty routine & I have noticed a difference. My skin tone is more even + radiant & some discolored spots on my forehead have started to fade. The moisturizer is an SPF 50, which is great for the face. Def. a product I will continue to use throughout the summer.
