Recipe | Spicy Orange Margarita

Give me a tacos, guacamole and a margarita any day of the week & I am allllll set. Mexican is literally my soul food & I don't think I could ever live without it. If I could pick a drink of choice is either a margarita or a glass of wine. & I am a huge fan of Spicy Margaritas so I decided to round up a delicious recipe to share with you all. 

This Spicy Orange Margarita was made with Gran Centenario Plata Tequila and Agavero Orange Liqueur.  A quick and easy recipe, with a homemade spicy chili salt to rim the glass. A little extra touch. 

The limelight of the drink is the Agavero Orange Liqueur, which is a blend of 100% blue agave tequila, infused with the essence of oranges and pure agave nectar. It is a refreshing orange liqueur that is guaranteed to be just what e v e r y margarita needs.


MAKES: 1 margarita


2 oz. Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
2 oz. Agavero Orange
1 oz. fresh lime juice
3 oz. fresh orange juice
1 teaspoon honey or agave nectar (optional)
1-2 jalapeño slices
Touch of Spicy Chili Salt
To garnish: sliced jalapeño, orange slices, lime wedges

1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar


  1. Prepare the spicy chili salt by combining the chili powder, salt and sugar in a small bowl and mixing well to combine. Set that to the side.

  2. Take your glasses, dip them in water and salt the rim and add some crushed iced.

  3. Prepare each Spicy Orange Margarita by mixing ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until cold and pour into one of the glasses that your prepped.

  4. Add all the little extras that your hear desires including the lime wedge, orange wedge and additional jalapeño slice.
