Hello! My name is Kelli Ripley and I blog over at Dailypolkadots!

I am so excited to be here today on My Unrehearsed Life! I am new to the blog world and loving every minute of it! So thankful to Ashlyn for letting me say hello to all of you on her blog! : )

I am from Grand Rapids, MI and I currently attend Grand Valley State University for Hospitality and Tourism Management, THIS IS MY LAST YEAR!! : ) I am SO ready to be done! I spend the majority of my time at school or work but when I am not doing that I like to scrapbook, take pictures, blog : ), Skype with the boyfriend, take naps, and read!

This is my very FIRST guest post! So I was not sure what in the world to talk about! After thinking about it for a while I decided to share about a time in my life that was really important to me...my baptism.

I was baptized at Ada Bible Church in Grand Rapids, MI on January 8th, 2011

My faith is a huge part of who I am. It is definitely not easy for me and to be honest does not come naturally at all. I must work at it every day, I fail repeatedly. But I know without a doubt in my mind the Lord is always there for me and always will be no matter how many times I fail him.

It took me a long time to decide that I wanted to be baptized. I grew up in a christian environment so it was always a talked about subject. To be completely honest the thing that held me back for so long was not wanting to talk in front of a crowd of people :) ridiculous I know! But today I am thankful I waited, I finally felt that my faith was mine and not something I was doing just because my parents wanted me to. I was not a changed person when I was finished, I do not make less mistakes now than I did before, and I am in no way a better Christian than I was before. I was just blessed with the opportunity to stand in front of my family, friends, and church to proclaim the faith I have in the Lord. It was an awesome moment and I felt incredibly loved.

Any who that is a little bit about me : ) Thanks for listening!
I would love if you stopped over and shared some blogger love!! : )
