I am always on the lookout for good beauty products that have reasonable price points, so when I was sent this Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette in the mail via Brandbacker, I was eager to test it out. This past weekend N + I attended a Holiday Christmas Party fundraiser for Toys for Tots and while getting ready I remembered that I had just received this eye palette & decided to give it a whirl. The palette is no bigger then my palm & can easily be thrown in my purse for on-the-go capability. Inside of the front cover are easy to follow instructions to help master your desired smokey eye + winter cheek look. There are a total of four different shadows + large blush in the center. The shadow colors all have a slight shimmer to them, which include a white, black, silver and bronzy gold. The only downfall in my opinion about the shadow colors is that there was no matte shadow. When applying the shadows look that night, I had no trouble following the simple instructions and ended up with a beautiful smokey eye look, perfect for an evening out. I didn't get any outfit shots the night of the party, but hope to share a look or two here soon! Overall, I was pretty happy with this $40 eye palette. Some of the downfalls that I feel are worth mentioning, is that there were no matte shades, the colors are not perfect for every complexion, and you can't purchase the shades individually. Studio Gear cosmetics can also be found in the beauty departments of Bloomingdales, Macy's, Dillard's and ULTA.
